The Bartow Public Library, as a member of the Polk County Library Cooperative, participates in reciprocal borrowing with the following counties: Orange, Osceola and Lake, and all TBLC member libraries (includes Hillsborough).  Residents who live in a county that has a reciprocal agreement with PCLC who are a patron in a TBLC library, may use their own library card with the same privileges as any Polk County Resident.  Staff must enter their information into Horizon just like a new patron and scan their library card barcode.  A small, blue “TBLC Reciprocal” sticker is then placed on their library card to indicate they are in the PCLC system.  Patrons from Orange, Osceola and Lake counties need to use our library cards.  Residents who reside outside of Polk County in a county that does not have a reciprocal borrowing agreement with Polk County must pay $35 per year, per household.
