ILL: Resident and Fee cardholders can request to borrow materials from other libraries within Florida; reciprocal borrowers should consult their home libraries for ILL services. Requests can be made at https://www.maitlandpubliclibrary.org/suggest-a-title.

Maitland Public Library has reached an agreement to allow Winter Park Library and Orange County Library System Resident patrons the opportunity to get a reciprocal borrowing library card. To get a reciprocal borrowing library card, you need a valid Winter Park Library or Orange County Library System card in good standing and proof of residence.

FAQs

Password Help: When accessing databases from home, the entire 14-digit library card number (no spaces) must be entered. Access is limited to Resident & Fee Cardholders; reciprocal borrowers should contact their home library for database access. All users should be able to access their library accounts online. PIN is usually last four digits of the phone number on record.

Library Card Issues: MPL does not charge daily overdue fines. Accounts are blocked when unpaid fees reach $5.00 OR if any items are overdue. Users with blocked accounts cannot check out new items or apply for reciprocal borrowing at Orange County Library System or Winter Park Library. Resident cards expire every three years; all other card types expire annually. Patrons with expired cards need to visit the library with their proof of residence to renew their cards.
