While the collaborative desks are “turned off” for Ask a Librarian participants on these dates, you will still have access to your local chat, email and SMS to answer questions from your users.
If you link into Ask a Librarian from a shared site (i.e. your library has it’s own LibAnswers Chat but uses Statewide and Academic AAL desks), it’s more difficult to remove and reinstate access on these closure dates. We just ask that you keep the closures in mind and refrain from staffing the Academic or Statewide desks those days.
